Prayer of repentance

Lord! I admit my sin before you, Holy and Just God. I repent of my sin and I ask for forgiveness for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, who took punishment for my sins on the cross of Calvary. The desire of my heart is to leave the sinful way of life that I led and, receiving Your forgiveness as a gift of grace, begin a new life, a life of faith and obedience. Lord, help me in this decision. Change my heart by the Holy Spirit and direct me to the way of truth that leads to light. Help me find a church where I could grow spiritually and communicate with other Christians. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ!
